So, as some of our loyal visitors may have noticed, we shut down Allergic. We all got caught up in new jobs and our final semesters in school and the sheer volume of work we were all presented with seriously hindered our ability to maintain the level of service we wanted for our website. Not to worry though! The team will be back this summer with an entirely new approach, a more seamless system and way more features. So without further adieu, our countdown for our re-opening starts now! The date, you ask? June 1st, 2009. See you all on opening day!

Updating...

So the team at allergic is going to be working with a new energy drink called Sex Drive. If you can't tell by the name, it's an energy drink that boots your sex drive. We are also going to be working hand in hand with some up and coming local artists to plan performances. We've added Red Koi and Karu and Y to the website. We have added new nights to some of our current club listings. So mosey on over to the website and plan your weekend out!

So Allergic go its first bad review...

Someone named Rob just left us a pretty named guestbook signature. I'm not gonna lie- it stings. But, I'm pretty confident that he is spouting off at the mouth before having even used our site. We have never had any complaints like this one before and I'm sure we never will again. If anyone out there has any complaints, please let us know the name of the promoter, the club, and as many details as you can about what happened. We want to make our website better than any other site around and we plan on doing so by eliminating promoters that don't do what they say or don't follow through. Again, please let us know. The only way we can ensure a good working environment and ease of use is with your feedback!

we're going mobile!

picture this: you're outside a club and the promoter you were in previous contact with is no longer answering. what to do! well now, you can load Allergic To Lines mobile right on your cell phone! The new mobile site should be up and running today and will have all of the same information found on our main site, just condensed. So, you'll never have to be without information if you're on the run!

Gryphon/Pangaea

So the team went to Gryphon and Pangaea Friday night and we had a blast. I found out that night that the two clubs are actually connected inside. Gryphon is covered in things that sparkle and reflect light, and i'm probably partial, but i loved it. Pangaea has candles everywhere and the whole place grows. It kinda reminds me of being in the Flintstones. It was open bar and a great night =)

Christabelle's Quarter

The Grove has changed since I've been there last. Maybe it was the fact that it was welcome week at UM, but I felt as though we were babysitting the young girls around us. It was packed everywhere we went- including Christabelle's Quarter. The official UM welcome week party was at Christabelle's. The huge crowd turned what would have been a really nice night into a sweaty mess. Too many people. not enough AC, and too much alcohol [not for us- for the other girls] made for a pretty bad time. I do plan on going back at some point when it's NOT welcome week, though. Ladies were treated to free champagne and the food was good [and free] and the decor was romantically pretty.
